Hello, I'm new to the forum. I'm considering buying a traditional townhouse in Aguilas. Can anyone enlighten me on what life is like year round in Aguilas?

I lived in Águilas for a couple of years. It is a thriving busy town and a real Spanish working town which doesn’t depend on tourism alone. Plenty going on all year. Great.carnival in February some good restaurants and the well known Pimiento for tapas and atmosphere in the evenings. Good sea front and the town plaza is a joy just to sit it. Well worth considering living in.
Thanks for your helpful comments. It all sounds very positive, particularly discovering that Aguilas is very Spanish and a year round working community.
Hi and welcome, we have just bought a property in Los Collados just on the outskirts of Aguilas. Having been over several times and looked at numerous types we have been impressed with the service we received from everyone inc solicitors, estate agents banks etc. They are so friendly and helpful, we chose Aguilas on recommendation from our close friends who have also a property in Los Collados and for the real Spainish feel and all year round buzz. Good luck u won't be disappointed
Thank you for your helpful comments. We hope to do more property viewing in Aguilas early April.

If you need any help with recommendations 're solicitors and banks etc. Let me know we used the ones recommended by our friends and thought them very good.

Welcome to the forum Karren. Best wishes on your house hunting!
Thank you for all the friendly replies and helpful tips. I'm really looking forward to exploring Aguilas with the hope of finding the ideal holiday home. The classic Andalusian townhouse with roof terrace appeals. Hopefully I'll find one in town which ticks most boxes.

Hi I will also be out there in early April looking for a property to buy in Aguilas area. From what I have read, it is a good place to live, near beach and everything. Good luck with your search.
Hi. We are just about a year into our Águilas adventure and couldn’t be happier with our decision to buy there. The town is lively enough through the year without being too swamped in August. We are really really pleased with everything so far.
We will be there from April 5, and happy to point you in the direction of estate agents, areas in town and solicitors etc.
all best
