Paying council tax and non resident taxes

I don’t know how easy it is but if you do get an informative reply could you please forward on?

It costs me €130 per quarter just in solicitors fees to pay taxes that are often a lot less than the tax!

I paid €98 for my solicitor to do mine. 

I've been advised that using a translator instead of a solicitor is cheaper although I've not used one yet

A good illustration why I never use a solicitor - any decent one would have fixed up all the direct debits as part of the purchasing of the property. If not, go into the Town Hall yourself and ask them to set the DDs up.

If you cannot handle Spanish paperwork use a gestoria but never ever a solicitor (who will not even look at the stuff just pass it on to a very junior staffer)
