Hi, my husband and I are looking to move to Spain in the next year or two. We have been many times to view properties from way up in Granada to Costa Calida. I have seen a property that I may view on the web in Abanilla but I don't know anything about the Town. Can anyone give me any information ? Thanks.

Hi,

I would recommend Abanilla to anyone who loves village life. It has several bars and restaurants.also two supermarkets. It has a fantastic fiesta on the 3 rd of May every year.

Property is less expensive than the larger towns, the people are friendly and helpful.

There are two supermarkets within the town and a market on a Saturday.

.I would suggest you get a decent solicitor I recommend Moniz in Albatera who are fluent in English and not as expensive as Spanish solicitors. We also have a tourist office in the town

that runs good trips to different locations and are reasonably priced. Some of the bars in the town for example Peques in the square in Mahoya have held the same prices for 12 years. You can get coffee with brandy for 1 Euro.

Has anyone had experience of the Country Fincas estate agents ? I would be interested in any recommendations for other agents or advice on ones to avoid.

Kind Regards.

Hi

I have seen a house that we are very interested in on the Internet, it is located in El Salado Alto, Abanilla. Does anyone have any information about El Salado ? We were hoping to come across to view this month but will have to wait until the current global situation with this dreadful virus changes.

Thanks

Tracy

Hello,

I live in El Salado it is mainly a Spanish village with about a dozen ex pats. The Spanish are very friendly and quite often

we arrive home to find fruit or veg hanging on our gate. There is a good bar 2.5 kilometres in Mahoya called Peque's which does

a menu del dia for 12 euros. The medical center is 5 kilometres away in Abanilla which also has plenty of bars and 2 supermarkets.

The houses in El Salado are about 12 years old and all are well looked after and the people in them are friendly as a few of them are from uk.

Hi Angie, thank you for the reply, it sounds lovely. We are desperate to come over to view the property but need to wait until the restrictions are lifted. I will give you a message when we manage to get out there. I hope its still there when are able to come out.

Once again thank you for the information,

Kind regards.

Tracy

Hi Angie, we also will be in the area soon.  But although we stopped recently in a square not so far away from looking at a property  in Salado, Albanilla and having a quick drink, I cannot find it on googlearth, any clues will be very helpful.

Many thanks
