Hi

I had never heard of this system before, but it sounds really useful.

We live in the countryside north of Lorca and this would be ideal for ourselves and our (fairly distant) neighbours.

Do you know if this system is used elsewhere (i.e. other than the Yecla area). I've tried googling, but had no success.

Here is all the info I have from the policia local. Very good idea as we too are in the campo, near to Abanilla. I understand that it will be rolled out over the whole of Murcia. I still haven´t heard back from policia local but this is not unusual. They may be waiting to get more people interested before contacting, and of course they have covid to deal with. As soon as I hear anything more I´ll add it to this post. Sorry I can´t be of more help at the moment

SISTEMA DE GEOLOCALIZACIÓN “SISPOL ABANILLA”Policía Local de Abanilla está en proceso de implantar un sistema de geolocalización de las casas de campo que se encuentran diseminadas en nuestro término municipal. El sistema consiste en asignar un número identificativo a la vivienda que previamente ha sido geolocalizada. Ante una situación de urgencia, Policía Local de Abanilla y/o el servicio de Emergencias (bomberos y/o sanitarios del servicio del 112) podrán atender el aviso de forma más inmediata. El coste sería 12€ ( placa con el número identificativo), la persona interesada se hará cargo de instalarla en la puerta o fachada de la casa, de forma que también servirá para evitar posibles robos por encontrarse está geolocalizada por la Policía Local. En estos instantes los agentes de Policía Local están en fase informativa a los vecin@s de las casas de difícil localización.
