Best bank to use

Forget the Spanish banks their charges are horrendous.

You will not be able to open a Spanish bank account online, it just does not happen.

Open a Wise.com euro account.

If you use the search button at the top of this page & search for 'Free Banking' & 'Banking' there is lots of information.

Hi - I don't think this sort of account lets me set up standing orders etc for the house i intend buying here.

Or have i just not found the right link on the site?.

You are probably not looking at the right part of the site.

You can set up Direct Debits / Standing Orders / Immediate Payments et etc just like a normal bank.

You just need to open a Wise euro account & transfer funds to that account the set up all your DD etc on that account.

You can open an online account with Cajamar, their Wefferent  is a strictly online service that you can carry out all your banking needs with no charges. Link below.

Wise is excellent for transferring and exchanging money also you can have a debit card however to withdrew cash from an ATM with this you would pay a fee.

Unfortunately a non resident can't open a Cajamar Wefferent account online.

I have recently opened Wise Euro Account just in process of transferring Direct Debits.Then will close Sabadell due to Bank Chargers.I also used Wise when we purchased the property got a Good exchange rate.

Spoke to the bank and they said this should not be a problem, any difficulties just call the help line (which is in English) and they will assist with any problems you may have.in opening this account.

Has anyone else encounered any problems?
