What do you mean by helping themselves to money?

I had stopped the Sabadell  house insurance      6 weeks before the Due Date

They had asked me beforehand    to do many things     letter into a local branch  with my passport     to send them a signed letter 

among other things, I even sent them a copy via e-mail   of the new house insurance +   another in the post

we had many letters going on between us   (loads)          I did not receive a letter of renewal for the insurance     

YET on the 11 th, they helped themselves   to €236     when I had paid €131  for the new insurance

Today in the Roldan branch I handed in a letter of complaint when I was called cabeza?  mierd   I think the last bit is French   will look it up

but ended la  ?      this is true   about the way I have been treated     

Dave, as a non resident who was sick of Sabadell,s fees, after a lot of investigating for a fee free non resident account without limitations (almost every bank had some conditions, like taking their insurance or depositing large amounts monthly) I then came across Cajamar bank. I,ve joined them (helpful staff but no-one spoke english) and now have a "wefferrent" account, online usage but if I need help they have a dedicated english helpline or if I want 1to1 assistancce in branch there,s a 5€fee that month only. My only grumble is their app is not available in english and google translate wont work with it, but I can manage it and maybe I,m asking a lot of a Spanish bank. I doubt my Halifax app is available in other languages. lol. I had asked in my Sabadell branch could I be eligible for the 3€ month basic bank account but the lady was also rude telling me I had no "tax" proof of income as a non resident so not eligible. Give Cajamar a go especially if a non resident and you pay fees, if resident just change banks.

Than you    but today I opened a  Santander account       OK it costs €10  per month    but by spending  you get 3% back

to stop  direct debits

The man behind the counter would not take the letter,   so I threw it on his counter    he then ran after me    I am learning Spanish 

so I understood  Cabeza (head)  then he used a very short word la or de?  But it ended with   what sounds like "meirla"   I can not find it

on google translate     so need to ask any ideas?      but thank you     Dave 

Why don't you go to a Sabadell branch like mine where they speak English. I'm sure they would help you out even if you want to close your account. You can make an official complaint of course when you are satisfied your direct debits are stopped, but they can take a long time to process. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't give up. Make a note of everything you have done, take names and record their responses. My branch is in Puerto de Mazarron and I've always found them helpful. You do have to allow a lot of time for a Bank visit though! Good luck.

well enough to know "cabeza" is head    I am unsure what the sort word was   but the insult ended  with ( S**t) in french

I have always found Sabadell staff very helpful and courteous. I’ve always been very happy with the service they offer, never had any problems.

On the way out, he had run up behind trying to push me out of the bank??    I kid you not

The Police are now involved   "it was assault after all"         now we did not say anything as we do not understand each other

Sounds nasty, just make sure they don't wipe the CCTV!
