You need a SKY box to receive SKY. 

You also need a large dish 180cm diameter. 

Lastly you need an UK billing address or be prepared to pay a large amount to one of the service providers for SKY abroad.

Thanks Bill. Is this the best option for tv or is it better to do it through internet and not bother with sky Q and dish?  Which is the better and cheaper option?

Personally I would definitely go internet as long as you have a good connection. From Electronica Martinez you can get any combination of programmes you desire...prices are very reasonable. We pay 180€ a year for every, and I mean every British TV channel including all SKY, All BT Sport, Netflix, all without extra subscriptions.

I already had a compatible dish when we bought our house. I have a deal with Square Media for 18 months for 300 Euro which gives me most channels known to man, but I also use my Sky HD box because it gives me a better HD picture when we watch freeview channels which you get on your Sky box even though you have no contract with Sky.

Thanks Jeff. I’ve not looked into it yet but I’m thinking if we bring  skyQ box we would have to carry on paying monthly subscription to sky and if we cancel it would they take the box back? How did you keep your sky box ?

Seems like they never ask for them back as I also have a Sky+ box at home which they have never asked for.

300€ per year is an huge amount! Square Media is a franchise holder for Electronica Martinez....they seem to charge about double of EM for the same deals!
