Where to buy a car
Can someone recommend a good car dealer as we will be buying a car shortly, and what’s the typical price for car insurance?
Dave will be along shortly to tell you where Not to buy a car.
I know secondhand cars are a lot more expensive than their equivalent in the UK.
Insurance ( which normally includes breakdown assistance ) would cost you around 320
euro per year for a mid range 1.4 petrol car
Ok Roland cheers.

Brilliant customer service and go the extra mile or kilometre being as we are in Spain. They handle all the transfer documents ITV (MOT) and insurance. Insurance for me was €320 which includes break down cover. Depending on age of car you get a warranty and if anything goes wrong which happened to mine it's seen to right away and a free courtesy car is available whilst it's repaired.
When I bought mine in April the ITV had less than 5 months to run so they took the car in for the test in August at no extra cost to me.
As you no doubt realise the cost of 2nd cars here are so much more than back in the UK but on the other side of the coin they hold their value longer as rust isn't a problem and the warmer climate means no cold start ups like back in UK.
A note of caution... a lot of cars in Los Alcazares were damaged by the floods and I heard there are some unscrupulous people around who have in the past cleaned these flood damaged cars up and sold them on. Best to stick with reputable dealers offering a warranty and you shouldn't go wrong.
