Hi guys

Im looking to buy on sierra golf.

Just wondered was there any flooding to properties on the urbanisation in recent years.

There seems to be mixed messages on the site.

Some say SG is built on top of a hill so no flood risks but i read another post mentioning flooding to underbuilds ?

Is there any property owners who have underbuilds that can comment ?

much appreciated

It is built on a hill ..the truth is when it occasionally rains it Spain it rains very hard which is entirely different to ' flooding ' like in very flat places which is a problem..torrential rain will get into areas despite the best efforts of owners

Thats great puts my mind at rest and thanks for tge reply !

The risk of a flood like September 2022 has put me off some parts of the surrounding areas.

Are there any particular roads to avoid on SG for any reasons ? Subsidance or any other problems etc  ?

No I don't think so the road in to the main road to the estate is an up and down road so sometimes if it rains heavily the water can gather in the dip of that up and down section...we had a look at a number of properties on there with and without underbuilds...all I would say is this area doesn't flood per se but as I said if there is torrential rain it is not impossible to expect some mopping up be necessary but things dry in Spain very quickly ....just do all things you would do normally if bad weather is expected..awnings and cushions and furnishings in..gutters unblocked with leaves etc

Thats really helpful thanks for the reply.

Does anyone know if there is high speed internet access available on SG or will it be the standard 20-30 gigabyte service ?

We had a villa there for 15 years with an under build.  There was only 1 incident. A Gotta Fria where we had water get into the basement.  Fair to say it was a biblical rain event and regardless of where it was rain would have gotten in.  We did have some damage but the government paid for the repair.  This is normal in Spain.  I Would not let the risk hold you back.   Great value on Sierra Golf

Hi, you say you're looking to buy on Sierra Golf, well I'm looking to sell my property on Sierra Golf, it's a green and I had it let thru out the pandemic to a young woman who has since moved out. If you want to view it or require more information just email me [email protected]

Regards, Dee Mannix.
