Hi,

We are looking to buy a home in Spain and have found a villa we like the look of on the New Sierra Golf.  Obviously we can't get out to visit and look at the minute so we would like some honest advice about the location. Initially we would use the villa as a holiday home with a view to retiring in about 12 years. Things like

Standard of build of properties/ any major issues.

Security/ crime issues.

General feel for the local atmosphere and nationalities living there.

What is the Suma and what does it cover.

Location of nearest town/ shops etc

Public transport- any up and running yet?

Any pros and cons of living here.

We currently live in central London so looking for something fairly quiet but with a little excitement if we want it.

Thanks

join the facebook page for Sierra Golf and it might answer your questions.

Suma is just the collection agency so you may mean IBI which is like council tax. There is no community charge as there are no community services...residents do their own cleaning etc. no security or pools to pay for.

Balsicas nearest small town about 10 minutes drive but no public transport.

Hi. Moved on to Sierra 18 months ago from UK. Single female of pension age.

The community on here is amazing. Nothing to much trouble, and always someone to help, be it with property or personal.

Our nearest village is Balsicas. Shops, banks, cafes restaurants gym. All 10 minutes away. You do need a car as no public transport.

Beach's are a 15 minute drive and Murcia city 30 minute.

Really is in the middle of everything. Very quiet with 2 bars serving food and 2 minute walk to golf club which also serves food.

All that being said we are in partial lockdown. As we are Murcia region lots of places still open to us.

Couple of very good agents live on Sierra.

Robert Hallam.  Sharon. As previously suggested, join our Sierra groups for more info.

Hope you find your dream villa in Spain.
