After a month of chilling by the pool I plucked up the courage to get in it.

Temp was 17 degrees.

The innital shock was worth it. After a few minutes it was actually pleasant. Think it's done my arthritis some good as well!

Just make sure there is someone else around to fish you out if you get thermal shock - too many youngsters die in the UK swimming in ponds and lakes.

Got in again this afternoon. Perhaps wishful thinking but my joints don't seen so stiff tonight.

Anyone know where I could buy insulated underpants?

Saw some on the market today, on special offer. Three pairs for one euro. Bargain! 😂

Three days in a row now and counting. I do feel that's it's doing some good but it's not the fountain of youth either!

Some people swear by it so I'm going to stick with it. Luckily our pool has Roman steps so I can ease in gradual but it sure is a shock to the.... extremities.

I think I’ll take the plunge this week. I prefer just to jump in from the side and get it over with. I let you know if I survive!!
