With such simple requirements surely you could look up and learn how to say what you need in Spanish?

Omg How rude r U????
I can speak a little Spanish
I was only looking a taxi contact telephone number who I could use as I didn't want to embarress myself
This is a help forum!!!!!!@
That could do without negative comments like yours
Go and pick on your next victim....
Hi Jenny, sorry I cant offer you a tel no for taxi service as I,m not in that area, but i agree with you Peter was incredibly rude and not at all helpful. I used to dread needing to speak Spanish (non resident who will have spanish lessons once resident) but now I use google translate on my phone with ease and it has taken the anxiety I experienced out of the situation. You may already use it but I didnt know about it for a long time.
Pauline.

I am amazed that anyone thinks my comment “rude” or “unhelpful”!
We moved to Spain 13 years ago, and planned to do so five years before that. I went to a local Instituto Cervantes for Spanish lessons for all that five years, giving me a kickstart in being able to communicate. I was ( and still am!) not fluent, but manage well enough, especially when the subject is known in advance and I can mug up. Someone coming up to me in the street and saying something in Spanish, particularly in a broad rapid Murcian or Andalucian accent - a bit like Glaswegian “English” - is and I fear always will be difficult, but if the speaker wants us to understand each other we would get there.
So many times I heard people critical of Asians Poles and so on living in the UK and unable to speak English and would be ashamed to be looked at in the same
Watch some Spanish tv, stop reading English newspapers and read Spanish ones (nearly every bar has one on the counter for customers to read) and try not to stay in a little Britain ghetto mindset and living in Spain will move from UK with sun to enjoying the culture here.
It is constructive advice to do some homework, try and communicate and you should gradually be able to join in with the natives of the country you have chosen to live in.
