Should I live in cabo de palos?

Hello, I am considering living in cabo de palos in the next couple of months until summer next year. I will be working at 2 schools nearby, one in la manga del mar menor and the other in los belones. I am a bit concerned about moving as I have read that cabo de palos is very quiet in the winter months which I may find difficult! I am also considering living in Cartagena but the public transport doesn’t seem very frequent at all. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations of what I should do? Or does anyone know about the public transport to Cartagena from Cabo de palos and the surrounding towns? Are there many people my age in cabo de palos? (I am 22)

You might be better in Los Belones as it has a more established year round community. But to be be honest, for a young person cartagena is your best bet. More things to do year round and more chance of meeting people in your own age group. The areas that you will be working are livelier in summer and pretty quiet in winter. You need to really look into public transport from cartagena or a car sharing option. Maybe some of the teachers of the schools you will be in could give you a lift or you could get a moped.

Hi!

I am María, I am Spanish, I was living in Cabo de palos during winter, it is a really quiet area during this time but it is really nice place, but you can find some bars open and you find supermarkets and places to go, but it is in summer when you are going to have a lot of thing to do, and find a lot or young people to go out. I really recommend to you hire a car if you want to visit Cartagena (25min by car) and fin a lot of people to make plans. Although at the weekend you are going to find a lot of people in Cabo de Palos!!!

Nowadays I am living in Playa Honda, and is a quiet area like Cabo de Palos, really close to Cabo de Palos!
