Hi there

We are thinking of purchasing a two bedroom apartment on the La Canada complex on outskirts of Calasparra and would like some information on this development in relation to the annual communual fees etc and is there noise problems from the adjacent bar and restaurant in the evenings and weekends and on best restaurants in Calasparra. We are from UK and will purchase an apartment for our own personal use.

Hi George, my partner Gary and myself purchased a 2 bed apartment last July as our holiday home. Due to covid we have only been there a couple of times but absolutely love it.! The urbanisation is very well kept. It is gated and has a beautiful large pool. The communal fees are €100 per quarter. There are 2 bars at the urbanisation... Alandalus and titanium. We like them both, nice food and lovely friendly people... noise isn't a problem. Alandalus is popular for gatherings such as bingo and quiz night etc. There isn't a shop on site but the local super market is 5 mins in the car. I can't advise on any restaurants in town as we haven't tried any out yet but I believe there is plenty to choose from. .. If your looking for somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle of the UK and relax in the sunshine then you won't be disappointed.! The apartments are really lovely ... there's some real bargains to be had . We purchased one with the roof terrace and  the views of the mountains are really lovely.... it's our price of paradise ☀️. Hope this has helped you a little. Are you thinking of a holiday home or permanent move.

Hi There

Thanks so much for the information you have forwarded, we were going to purchase a top floor apartment on this urbanisation but decided to hold off until we can travel to Spain and view apartments in person. Therefore once there are no covid restrictions we will visit and look at this urbanisation and probably purchase a top floor apartment if one becomes available. Hope you don't mind me asking was any room for negotiation when you purchased your apartment.

Kindest Regards George & Lori

Hi guys,

Gary and Cindy have been a great help to me, even viewed the apartment I'm purchasing. Yes, there is room for negotiation. I actually purchased mine unseen apart from online viewings and many hours on google maps and chatting to people in forums. As Cindy said, there are some real bargains, here's a link to a site that has a few 1st floor apartments starting at 45k euro. I'm heading over to sign on the 25th and will be sharing a few beers with Gary and Cindy. Good luck.
