Staffies in Spain
I'm thinking of moving to Camposol.with my two staffies in the near future, and am getting conflicting advice about whether they're allowed in Spain, as some seen them 'dangerous dogs !!' Mine are both soft as **** 😁
TIA

Think, not 100% but they are classed as dangerous dogs, if so you have to have a licence for them, but they are allowed, the licence is as much about there owners as the dogs themselves, ask for info on citizens advice Spain
Thanks Steve , will do that 😁

Hi
Staffies are on the dangerous dog list which I just downloaded see below.
https://adiestramientocanino.org/razas-de-perros-potencialmente-peligrosos/
Lista de Razas de perros potencialmente peligrosos (ppp)
American Starffordshire Terrier
But as Steve said they have to be licensed and the owners aware of the situation.I have a German shepherd that was attacked by an American Stafford as we were walking outside Marianos restaurant the dog owner had no control, the dog was on an extendible string lead and would not let go of my dogs face, 2cm lower and my dog would have lost an eye.
This was a totally unprovoked attack, all my big dog wanted to do was lay down and submit.
We had to call the Guardia who stated the Staff should have been muzzled and they followed it up from there.
Needless to say I had a very large vet bill.
Unfortunately staffs have a bad name but as I always say it is not the dog but the owner, you are at least aware of the problems and I am sure responsible owners.
I have known some lovely staff.
Check out the web site and I hope they enjoy there life in Spain
Regards
Ed
PS you enjoy yourself as well lol

Aww I'm so sorry about your poor dog .American staffs are huge, and need a very strong owner, and extendable leads are useless 😣
My two are very soft , and well trained 😁

All staffs must ware muzzles whenever out and any problems at all there is no second chance and an owner we know paid a fine for walking them without a lead it was 600€ he was told if seen again without being on a lead the dogs would be impounded due to there very bad press tend to agree that any large breed should be muzzled and also be on a lead with someone who is in complete control the same person had a second dog that attacked a shitsu and bit the owner who tried to save the dog ( an old lady) the dog was impounded and put down the owner was fined and paid costs amounting to 3,000 both his dogs were friendly and were very good with us but after this we steered clear of the dogs. Hope all goes well but as you say responsible owner is the most important thing but I would never trust a staffi of any kind
