Hello to all,
we are from Germany and are just buying a small house in Camposol in sector D. For the time being, we will only be here during the holidays.
My first question is: How do I get from Alicante airport (Murcia airport is not served - non stop - by Frankfurt) to Camposol? If we are going to register a car here, we will have to get from the airport to Camposol.
I would be very grateful for any feedback.
Especially thanks to the initiators of this forum. I think it is nice to build up a connection to Spain and Camposol in particular in this way.
And I always have to translate the text first, because my English is not good enough. So if my texts sound a bit strange, sorry.
Are there also Germans here in the forum?
We are looking forward to Camposol!!!
Have a nice weekend and best regards from Germany!!

Andy

Hallo Andy,

Willkommen.

Hi

When we were holiday home owners we used air park murcia. They will bring your car to the airport and meet you to hand over the keys. They then meet you on departure and take your car to a secure location. Well worth the annual fee and they can also arrange itv repairs etc.

Hi Sunnyspain,

Thank you very much for the information. How much was the annual fee back then?
Many greetings from Germany

We paid €285 annually for our car ( outside parking ) in secure location. It was cheaper for us to buy a spanish car and leave it with them instead of keep hiring cars

The cost also included them cleaning exterior of car before meeting us at the airport each time. We used to ask them to disconnect the battery if we weren't coming back for a few months.

I leave my Spanish registered car at either Murcia or Alicante with plane parking. If one airport I think it’s €300 a year, as I do two airports I paid €400 a year so can fly in and out off either for no extra charge.

Hi Andy,

Welcome to D. Initially, we bought worldwideinsure.com car rental excess insurance and, hired cars through Do You Spain and Rentalcars. At the time, these companies offered the best deals. I would however suggest you look at recent reviews to judge which companies to use and, moreso who to avoid. It's a long but easy run from Alicante airport to Camposol but, again if necessary, use your phone as a sat nav. Also, ensure the car rental company don't try to discretely add the excess insurance and sat nav etc when you collect the car.

Since buying a Spanish reg car we have used aeroparking with the drop offs and pick ups at Alicante airport https://aeroparking.es/portfolio/valet-parking-service-alicante-airport/. They are currently charging from €230/year for the meet and greet service.

I'm sure you will enjoy your time on D. We certainly do. Chers
