I finally found a remedy that really helps when you have been bitten. It immediately stops the itching and swelling. Take a wet washing cloth, put some salt on it and rub it as hard as you can on the bite. You'll be amazed!

Will definitely try this, Lydia.

Last visit I got bitten really badly with 2 of them getting infected and needing treatment in the clinic.

It would be great to find something to stop the itching, I've tried all sorts of things including the antihistamine cream from the pharmacy, which I found didn't help at all.

How did you discover this remedy?

I also tried every possible remedy to prevent biting. Nothing helps. Then I also tried every creme, calmiox, antallergical which is cortisone and every kitchen remedy. I read about this in a Dutch article and I promise I really works. The itching stops immediately and has not returned since yesterday.. Also almost no swelling. I'm over the moon!

Have you tried Avon Skin so Soft? I bought some towards the end of our visit but by that time the damage had been done.

It's supposed to act as a preventative. I shall try it next time but if it doesn't work and I'm bitten I'll definitely try your salt remedy.

At home, we use "AfterBite". If you apply it within a very few minutes of the bite/sting the pain is gone almost immediately. But I never take it out with me so your tip is great as you could easily use it out and about in a bar or restaurant.

To stop the itch put toothpaste on the bite, someone recommended vinegar as well, but mozzys love me I have APS and take Warfarin so they die but have been told Vit B12, so I will let you know. But toothpaste is my first action brilliant.

Vit B 12 doesn't work. Vit B1 did but only 2 weeks. So happy I can go outside again. They still bite but at least I know what to do now so I don't end up in the hospital.

Hi

Try a hot teaspoon, press it on the bite, it must be very hot, it is best if you do it a few times, it really does stop the itching & no swelling or infection. Please just be careful not to burn yourself. After years of been badly bitten & horrible swollen bites, it’s the only remedy I have found that really does work.

Kind Regards

Sue
