Reference Tight budget....I take it you are referring to buying a property if so how much are you allowing for your purchase / have you considered renting    you say you are a middle age couple ..if you are both under UK retirement age you will not be eligible for Health Care from the Spanish NHS...  have you allowed for the cost of private Health Care in Spain ( expensive ) /Banks yes we have Bank's/ amenities yes we have everything for modern day living/ Internet/ doctors / vets / bars with entertainment almost every night/ loads of restaurants / 18 hole golf course with a nice club house / 5 star hotel / Community centre /large supermarket / great community.

£60,000 will get you a small 2 bed terrace type villa ..you would be looking at paying around €55,000 for the property ..and then you need to allow around 12% on top for buying fees solicitors and so on..this is doable on Camposol as long as you are not expecting to much for you money....the only problem I can see you coming up against is paying for private health care ...this will cost you around €250 per month for 2 people for the first year ..when you become a residents this take around 12 months ..you can then apply to go on the Spanish NHS system ..this will cost you €60 per month each if you can manage to get a full time job then your employer will pay this for you  good luck but don't hold you breath on getting employment ..don't hang around to long buying a property as Price's are rising  quickly .

Why would they not be not be eligible for Health Care from the Spanish NHS ? Brexit is still not happening and perhaps never will ?

They are both under UK retirement age ....read the original post...don't kid yourself Brexit is coming ...why wouldn't it the majority of the UK population voted Out Democracy has spoken...the MPs must carryout the will of the population that bothered to get off their arse and vote.

Hello

Thank you. I quite agree. Out means out no matter what!

Just a couple of questions  if I may, there are many but i will start with the first few.

when we view properties which we know we can get for our budget, i've looked and we would need an NIE and a Bank account.

How do we go about getting both of these things please?

do we go with a spanish bank or an affiliated one of our own branch here?

The NIE, where do we get this from and ia there a cost involved?

Thank you kindly

Dawn

Hello

We both have Ehic cards, would that suffice in the interim?
