Does anyone have their deeds on Camposol? 

Only reason I ask is I have fallen in love with Camposol even though I have not seen it but having had a very negative Private message has made me very wary. I have been lucky in that we got our title deeds in Cyprus but at a cost of €11,000 and maybe I have been reading too much that I need to know as just starting to convince hubby who wants to return to UK but he is wavering.

We bought our villa on Camposol last June and had no trouble obtaining the deeds or

Escutura as they are called in Spain.

Trisha I received a very negative private message last year when we were looking to buy. I ignored it. We went to see for our self and made an offer of the full asking price the next day. We have deeds as well. Best thing is to go and see for yourself and maybe rent on the sector you like 1st.

Deeds are only one part  -  ask about Habitation Licence. 

You need this licence to legally live in the house you intend to purchase.

Without this licence from the Town Hall you are not legal to live there despite what other owners in Camposol say.

 If you get fob off answers to this question about a Habitation Licence, during the purchase inquiry, halt your proceedings and seek advice from their TownHall.  You will find them really helpful.

In any event if you really have sorted out any choices of property make no offers without consulting a Lawyer (Abogado).

Do not trust an Agent or ' their conveyencer' . 

Only pay a deposit through your Solicitor after he says so and only pay the deposit  to him.

If you enter a contract before seeing your Lawyer, in otherwords you were perduaded to pay a deposit by the agent, a Solicitor may not able to help you as you will have entered into a contract that he cannot control to ensure you are protected.

Hi Trish,

We bought our villa on lower C sector via Mercer’s in November last year. We used a solicitor for the sale and the deeds were emailed onto us shortly after although these weren’t the original copies. I got an email from PALs last week and as it happens we are here this week and have picked the originals up today, no additional costs at all, in fact we’re due a refund of some of our legal costs on conclusion.

I know there have been problems in some areas but if you use a solicitor you should be ok I think.
