Health cover in retirement

Hi hope some could help with this we are planning to retire in Spain in 2 1/2 years and would like to know if you can’t transfer the MHS health to the the Spanish system or do you have have private cover

Do you mean NHS? You need private health cover to apply for residencia to allow you stay in Spain more than 90 days. If you are UK state pensioners, currently you can request an S1 form from DWP which allows you access to Spanish health system. In 2+ years who knows what will happen??

Hi thanks yes it is unclear what will happen in the future.

We had a property in Camposol for 6 years on D but decided to sell as there is no Taxis or public transport.

We are currently looking to buy again but because we have another 2 1/2 years until retirement but it is unsure if THE NHS health can be used

No, I don't think you will be able to access the Spanish NHS. Schengen rules will apply, unless you are in the EU. It is going to be a lot harder than before. You need to prove you will not be a drain on the Spanish system, so private health care will be a must.
