Hi to all and the information on this forum given, we have been looking into properties in camposol especially the wife, but we have gathered some information recently about subsidence/settlement issues and flat roof leaks re membrane, we would like to know if this is common on the urbanization. Another thing is there any public transport to and from the main towns/coast, also transport to and from Corvera/Alicante airports. How is the autumn/winter weather and do the buildings suffer with mould and condensation. Lots more to ask, but these will do for starters Hope to hear from you soon, thank you. Peter.

Your post sounds like you are trying to wind..the 5.000 villa owners up that have bought on Camposol... hence the lack of replying to your comments...what you have got to take into consideration is that the properties on A/B/C/D sector are approximately 20 years old ... I have owned a villa from new on the last faze of D sector and that is 11 years old ...what prospective buyers fail to take into consideration is that the properties are getting on in age and will need some sort of upgrading / maintenance especially the ones that have just been used as holiday homes.
Hi, having lived in Spain many years ago, we did suffer terrible mould and condensation, as said just asking a few questions, but thank you for your friendly reply.
Hi peter, flat roofs no worse here than anywhere else pay particular attention to the tiles that go up the wall as the mortar starts to crack allowing water to get under tiles and rot membrane i was fortunate as the previous owner of my villa had just had the roof membrane replaced.Subsidence this comes up almost every week on forums.Upper C on Camposol has some areas where this has happened which varies from bumpy roads to properties in state of collapse this is confined to a small area of Camposol the rest of the urbanisation IS NOT AFFECTED. These problems were totally preventable, upper C was levelled off as it was a big hill the builders should then have waited a year to allow the ground to settle they didnt in there haste to sell more properties so basically the ground was still settling when they started building and as the council did not appear to be overseeing what was going on, a few years down the line we now have these problems. So just to put your mind at rest the rest of Camposol is fine. There is now a bus from Corvera airport to camposol not much else in the way of public transport you do really need in a car if you live here.Weather is great here dont think your have a problem on that score,as regards mould should only be a problem if people dont ventilate the rooms properly.cheers
Thank you, for your warm reply, we will take all on board, regards Peter

There is a bus service from Camposol sect A, to Mazarrón and to Totana. Camposol also has recently set up it's own bus service. Not sure how it is funded but certainly seems to be working at the moment.
The local supermarket does delivery to homes for a small charge.
As for the condition of the properties here, it's a very small minority that have problems if it was a major issue houses wouldn't be selling, but as with any property purchase it worth paying for a full inspection.
There is a fantastic community spirit here, but as with the minority houses with issues you will get the odd moan about anything and everything.
Life is what you make of it.
Good luck

Wow what a really sad person you are. Hopefully you have returned to the UK as you hate it on Camposol so much. Luckily the majority of us are friendly and support each other. As for burglaries, the only reason people k now about them is via our community Facebook pages. If you actually bothered to look at crime figures for other areas of Spain and the UK you would realise Camposol is not at the top of the list per household in fact nearer the bottom. As for your statement re Mazarrón council not caring why have we on camposol got a newly appointed councillor for foreigners!

You are probably 50% correct, some of your observations are slightly exaggerated, but at the end of the day if you are thinking of buying in an area be it anywhere in the world you take a look for yourself, they don't take as gospel what you and I say
