Hi we not long moved in where looking for friends 

Hi...we been here 4 weeks now.is a bit disappointing that we have not met anyone here.Ok there is only about 3 occupancy on our street D23 so we never a actually get a chance to see anyone they seem to go a lot.When we were purchasing our property there were folk that were talking to us seems now we out here they have evaporated into thin air such is that mystery..So anyhow we have learned how to do things where to go on our own. I don't hate anyone more like a helping friendly guy lol.So it's me & the wife enjoying our retirement  .Hope to meet you at sometime please let us know .We are from planet earth & not aliens ...lol.

Have you introduced yourselves to your neighbours - that helps. Also get the Costa Cálida Chronicle free magazine out the 1st of every month available from outside shops etc on B Sector. Ok thanks I'll start looking. 

When my husband and I visited a couple of years ago we used to walk to shops. Took our time as we had all day to do it. Used to stop off at golf club on way back. Always,  always someone would stop and ask if we wanted a lift. Would never take no for an answer and would take us wherever we wanted to go. Lovely friendly people.  Will be moving there soon.

I agree it's all about getting out & making conversation with people. I think the first weeks we were here it was chaotic unpacking seemed like I was working in a warehouse then things to erect screw or inflate. Now we are getting out it's great meeting people. I'm a retired electrical service engineer & that job role gave me lots of people contact.For my wife she is a retired mental health worker so ready to deal with my challenging behaviour lol...We are both having a great time now.Thanks for everyone's advice.

Just a suggestion but maybe if you put a picture of yourself as your profile on here people would recognize you in the street and stop and talk to you.  We are only visiting at the mo but I hope when we eventually move out permanently we will make lots of new friends.
