Hi all

Can someone help. I need to collect someone from the airport RMU but have never done this before.

Do I have to pay to park whilst waiting & are there ticket machines to purchase a parking ticket, also do I keep the ticket to get out again.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I’ve only ever done 1 pick up, I didn’t pay to park, there is/was plenty of parking at the front of the airport to pull in and wait for your passenger......

The main car park is directly across the road from the terminal and is clearly signposted. Arrivals is at the left end as you face the terminal.

Parking at RMU is VERY cheap. I've done several family pickups there & never paid more than 2€. There are several payment machines in the carpark. Make sure you have change.

The car park uses a number plate recognition system, but hold onto your receipt, just in case. :)

There is a drop off & pickup lane just outside the terminal. If the person you are collecting is waiting there, I believe that it may be OK for you to stop & pick them up. However, waiting there is not on. The Police may move you on, but they are just as likely to issue an on the spot fine.
The drop off & pickup lane is primarily for Taxis!

Use the car park. It's cheap and you won't risk a heavy fine.

You can also pay by credit or debit card if that helps.

Hi

I work for a parking company at the airport, you have 15 minutes in the drop off and pickup areas, the charge for parking is 2€ for 1hr, the entrance to the car park is to the left as you exit the roundabout to the airport, you pay obviously when you leave, the pay machines are directly opposite the arrivals. Arrivals is the second set of glass doors down the terminal building, there are 3 machines 2 cash and 1 card only, follow the exit arrows to the two barriers which are number plate recognition, if the barrier does not go up which sometimes happens, there is a scanner to scan your ticket

There are no height barriers to get to the drop off pick up point stay right as you go in then take the passenger lane (2) don't go into the taxi / police lane, best to wait on the airport approach road near the hire car bays check your flight arrival on you phone. Wait 15-20 minutes for your flight to disembark then drive in, your pickup should be there by then better still get them to message you when they are out and waiting then drive in and pick up, 5 -10 minutes tops.
