Bringing Dog to Spain
Hi
Has anyone brought a dig over on a plane? I have a German Shepherd. I would rather bring her on Ferry but that isn't possible. Best airline for pets? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

There was a thread on here about pets on planes from the UK to Spain.
I can't just locate it.
Edit.
Found the thread.
What airlines transport pets from Manchester to Murcia/Alicante?

I am currently doing research on this and believe BA and Iberia will bring dogs over, but be aware, no airline takes them back. Also if you are going by Eurotunnel ,the dog has to be in a car, no foot passengers, same for most ferry passengers. I looked at going to Santander by Ferry but its a fortune. Hope the links are useful

We brought our rottweiler over on the ferry from Plymouth to Santander just over a week ago, we managed to get a dog friendly cabin and it was absolutely fine.

Hi thanks. I looked into flight costs 3000 euro we live in Ireland plus I don't think she would tolerate flight 3 hrs on her own.
I looked up Ferry from here it goes to Bilbao 26 hrs on Ferry but like you I can get a dog friendly cabin. Long haul but probably better for her plus a bit cheaper.
Thank you anyway

I wish I had heard of your query before. I had planned to drive to Murcia with my dog but she dies on 22 October. Now I will fly on my own as that’s so much cheaper but it means I so have a car over there.
Are you driving? I live in Kent so only a brief Eurotunnel trip to France.
I am selling my car here and plan to buy a car in Spain once I am settled.
Are you staying in Spain long term? Are you resident or are you planning to return to the U.K. by car?
