Bank Account Frozen

Hi,

I send money through Currencies Direct to pay my mortgage/bills at Caixa Bank in Camposol.The last 2 months payments have been returned to Currencies Direct saying the account is frozen.I have changed nothing in my account details for 12 years and there is more than enough money in the account I can't understand why this has happened.I have tried various numbers to no avail.Does anyone know a direct link i.e. E-mail or phone number at the Camposol Branch that I can talk to somebody about this issue.I didn't know the payments were being returned until last week as Curriencies Direct have kept the payments in a wallet to be used when needed.Unfortunately I do not speak Spanish which will not help with phone calls.

Happened to us once with another bank although could still withdraw cash...it transpired they wanted to see up to date passport details etc and declaration of non residency ...don't know if they are still doing that

Also happened to us last month, we needed to go into branch with passport and supply tax information to show paying tax in the uk as we are non residents. Once this information handed over than the account was fine. The joys of brexit..

You could try Manuel, the manager on [email protected] 

We saw him last week. 

If you are able to log on to the Caixa app, click on the “my advisor” button in the top right hand corner and you will see different contact options.

On your caxia internet account you have a personal assistant with their name they usually speak very good English.
