No you are in Spain ...

I use Sabadell Bank. They have branches in Puerto de Mazarron and Mazarron. They pride themselves on speaking to UK customers in English which they do and they have always been very helpful to me.

I bank with santander in mazarron and Marie speaks perfect English as does her associate. 

What is the possibility that Santander would link your UK bank account with the Spanish bank account when it comes to disclosing your assets to the Spanish authorities for taxation?

Santander Spain is a totally different entity to Santander UK.  Don't know about Barclays but suspect they will not have cross-border accounts, especially after the end of the year.
