Does anyone know why the bank was closed off and a security guard present on Wednesday?

Went to use cashpoint but unable to.

There was a burglary there. Not the ATM, but a straightforward old fashioned burglary 😇

Fortunately whilst this was inconvenient and a lot of damage inflicted to the property the scum who did this did not profit from their actions as they did not get near the cash, it looks like our bank in the short term is transferred to Mazarron whilst repairs are arranged, the cash point is back up an running at least

Scum.

The need for a police presents on Campo is raised yet again. But as normal, nothing will get done.

Obviously if we all chipped in financially, it changes everything. But we've already tried this and it falls on death ears.

I could not agree more, well said, we need police cover, who would miss 3 or 5 Euros a month from all residents to get a small police station, with say 2 police officers for 24 hour cover.

I am sure the Mayor could take the praise for it, which who cares, as long as we get cover.

But this is a subject that no one seems to want to promote, so the residents reap what they sow, NOTHING.

A suggestion of Euros 3 added to the IBI was scorned, so yet again no police.

Not sure what is up with the residents when it comes to police cover required, they just ignore the subject, and have another drink, it does not concern me, is the attitude, well they are wrong, it concerns all of us.

So what is the answer?

May be this can be brought up on the big meeting with the Mayor and council, who are meeting the residents in Feb, to discuss the future of Camposol.

Thats if the residents bother to turn up, last time the turn out was laughable, so nothing gets done.

Permanent residents will not turn up at these "Big Meetings" organized by Mazarron Council because they are only for the benefit of the Council.  They use the so called Foreigners Officer to make sure we all understand their diktats - which never change : Pay up, and shut up you cash cows - for the privilege of living here. We have heard it all before and will not comply with their demands.

Why should we supplement the Police prescence here when it is clearly the Council responsibility?

Why is there no acceptable local transport here ? or indeed no mini-bus service or taxi licences granted?

Why is the Health Surgery not user friendly?

Why do we have no street lights, even on main roads?

I could go on. This Mayor is the one who at the last meeting answered the few questions allowed with "I don't know".

WELL I DO.

Oh dear, does Camposol suit you ? may be not.

We must not give in, we must fight for everything we need, the council love negativity amongst us, as if we fight each other, we are leaving them alone.

No one is giving in - we are fighting them at their own game!  - Ignoring them as they have ignored us for the past 20 years!
