Yes other people are complaining about Sabadell & their charges.

Use the search facility at the top of this page.

Search for 'Banking' & 'Free Banking'.

There is lots of information there for you to have a read through.

Hi yes I got an 18 euro fee on 1st Jan 2021 ?it's because the UK banking system is not in the EU system any more.I set up a transfer wise account and I get nearly free transfers with them but it Nas to come from your bank in the UK.By that in your case it's your pensions?so change the direcdirect debit to go into your UK account and use transferable to make a payment to sabbadell.Very good rate indeed good luck and don't let sabbadell fleece you they are good at that. When I went in on the 2nd Jan I asked the lady why and all she said it's not my problem? It's brexit for you?.i then asked her if their is a way of complaining? Answer again no it's brexit. So I said to her that's ok be very weary about yourself keeping your banking job as all the Brits will do is run down their account balance in their bank. Thus leaving the bank with alot less collateral to play with and walked out. There is two ways to skin a cat so to speak ?hope you do ok.

We had this problem with Sabadell, but Currencies Direct sorted it for us, no more charges have been made since, and all the charges were refunded.

Hi was the charges refunded by sabbadell bank please if so what did you say to them please this is very interesting for me as they really are only in some cases a greasy non caring lot when you have a reasonable amount of money with them and also buy atleast one product from them to have zero charges.

...rges.

We have our pensions sent to Currencies Direct and they then pay them into Sabadell bank, and they have had the 18Euro charge stopped, and they refunded our charges, they have been great from day one over 3 years. Speak to Carol in the Camposol office.

Sabadell will try every trick in the book now to get money out of ex pats, they make up their own rules now , and blame Brexit, but thats crap, there is no difference for what was happening  to now what is happening, its pure greed.

We are still in SEPA.

It's against the law for Sabadell, or anyone else to charge whilst we are still in SEPA.

They have just out up my quarterly fee to €40, but no fees.

Thanks to Roland, I have set up accounts with Wise (formerly Transferwise).

There are no, or VERY low charges, but the rate is better than all the others I could find.

Hope this helps.

THANKS TO ROLAND AND OTHER POSTERS ABOUT WISE

Our UK state pensions are paid directly into Sabadell with no charge.

All our pensions go from a UK bank to Currencies Direct, then into Sabadell.

There is and never was any need for charges, but Sabadell know they can try anything to get money from Brits now, as you are on your own.
