Situation: Selling In Ireland, transferring Euros to Spain to fund house purchase.

Maybe a question for the likes of Roland or other Wise account holders; has anyone actually transferred very large amounts of cash from another country into Spain using Wise?

I have a Wise account and debit card, so use their services every month to transfer my sterling pension to me in Ireland. At this they are outstanding, although I've never spoken to anyone in my position that has been through the procedure or able to advise practically?

I know the facility is there, just after some confidence building while shopping around.  Thanks in advance.

Not used Wise for very large amounts myself.

But will use them next year for a car purchase.

They are regulated by the FCA in the UK I see.

Sorry I can't be of more help

I looked into moving the funds to purchase here from a UK bank via Wise. At the time, they wanted to organise a special deal, but it seemed expnsive.

We eventually went with Magna Financial Ltd. They set up a spot trade at a good rate and moved our money.

It was smooth and easy.

I still have my Wise account & use it regularly to move living funds over.

We use currencies direct and never had a problem.

Yes, we transferred the money for our villa using Wise. All went as expected, very easy.

I used my revolut account, if you pay for the upgrade account, there's no limit on currency exchange, which is at the inter bank rate. It saved me 300 on the rate currency direct were offering
