Hi All,

I have just purchased on Sector D and am looking for the pros and cons of the 3 internet providers on Camposol

1, Compusurf, had comms with them which was good but pricing complicated (nice people though)

2, Telitec again good comms and but limited options and the dearest of the 3 regarding install and monthly cost

3, Telecable, looks to be my 1st choice as their install is cheaper and more package options 300/600MBits and fibre to home for good stability

has anyone a view on these companies and best recommendations as I will have to go into contract with at least 2 of the options whichever one I decide to go with but would appreciate any feedback

kind regards

Lee

Compusurf is wireless internet as you probably know.

Around 10 megs max.

Reasonably priced for what you get with option to just buy time on a weekly basis.

Excellent for a holiday home & infrequent use.

The others are fibre optic so massively higher speeds plus higher costs.

All depends on what type of usage you need

Good morning,

Looks like your choice will be between Telecable and Telitec. We have experience of both and have moved from the former to the latter, as we had continual connection problems in our house on D22. At that time, there was no one local at the technical level  for Telecable and we sometimes had to wait days for an engineer to come out. Conor is back in the Telecable office now, so things may have improved. Call out and service times are worth considering, when deciding.

Is it possible to check with the previous owners, either directly or through the agent, to see which service they used and how reliable it was? Sometimes the old adage of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix its” may work. We initially went with Telecable because their price was 40% lower, however that is not now the case. We live here permanently, so don’t need to use the break in contract features available for holiday homes.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Hi Lee

We have friends on D26 they have had telecable with no problems for several years...we recommend them...we are on B21 with Telecable and have been for a while with no problems..we initially chose them as they could install sooner than teletec..and less expensive.. good luck.

Many thanks for your detailed response, really appreciated, on balance I have decided to go with Telecable as reviews are on par with Telitec but with the install and monthly price that does make a considerable difference and every euro adds up to more wine

Kind regards

I am with compusurf they have been brilliant, I am on the 19.99 a month but as I come and go it's brilliant I can switch on and off anytime and the service is fantastic, I have been with them for 4 years and never had a problem and it's better Internet than my one with talk talk in England.
