So sorry if this has been discussed previously but can anyone advise me if Teletec are any more reliable than Compusurf?

I have been with Compusurf for many years and was thinking of taking on their services for my UK television reception as my dish is now too small to receive a good signal.

However, after yet again paying for an entire month we were without any internet connection for an entire day and well into late evening . This has happened on so many occasions our time without any internet connection must now add up to at least a couple of weeks in total, yet there is never any mention of a refund!

This last time has really pushed us into thinking if moving to another company, but which one?

Is Telitec any better and do they also offer television reception via the Internet???

Any help or advice would be very gratefully received.

Regards

Fl

We've been with Compusurf since we arrived in Camposol last July and have found their service to be excellent. There have been a couple of minor outages at our house, which were down to equipment failures. Compusurf rectified those very quickly.

The loss of service across Camposol yesterday (9-4-2019) and a similar problem a couple of weeks ago, were not down to Compusurf directly, but were external to their systems and they had no control over them. Compusurf like all other end user Internet providers are dependent on the major trunk system managers and when they go belly up, we all have to sit and wait while the fault is found and fixed.
The loss of service a couple of weeks ago was due to a major trunk cable being dug up! It's very likely that yesterday's outage was related.

I have only seen two such incidents.

In the UK we had Virgin Media high speed broadband and TV. That had more frequent issues than I've seen with Compusurf since we've been using their service.

As for satellite TV? My 1.4 mtr dish & satellite receiver are working just fine. Rock steady TV on most stations.

Thank you for your reply.

But while we were all off line yesterday, Telitec kept working and did so last month when it all went Pete Tong.

I was just wondering if Telitec suffer these glitches any better!!

We took out the fibre 100  plan with Teletec last October we use it for the telivision. we had a problem at christmas with out router but the sales people  in the teletec shop provided us with a temporary router until ours was repaired. I cannot fault the customer service at all, we had there customer service department ringing us up to check everything was okay.

Thanks JMC

The Fibre 100 you speak of, is that suitable for holiday homes? ie it can be switched on and off to order?

Many Thanks

Yes, you can stop it for 6 months in any one year at the months you want, Teletec charge 10 Euros plus tax for this. The other 6 months are charged at 30 Euros per month plus tan. We have internet tv supplied by Rainbow sats, the deposit was 120 Euros and we only pay for the time we are there.

Hope this helps.

Telecable is not Telitec I think…. Very bad reviews on line about Telitec. We had a problem with slow internet in the evening with Compusurf, they came the same day to change the antenna and everything is perfect now.
