Public transport in Spain is excellent and very cheap/

Camposol is unfortunately not blessed with a regular bus service nor train but as other people have stated if you want to live there that is your choice, I did for many years and had no problems but I do drive.

Where I have a property in Santiago la Riber if I wanted to go to Murcia (from where you can get buses and trains to everywhere in Spain) I would catch a bus the runs every hour and be in the city within the hour, also buses to Cartagena, Alicante, Torrevieja and many other towns and villages.

Living in Murcia City is also a blessing with so much choice of different Transport.

I remember living in England in A small village we had no shops nearest pub half an hour walk and no public transport whatsoever.

When I lived in Lynmouth North Devon again no public transport in the winter.

I am aware frequent Flyer has been in Spain a few years but is obviously unaware of the Excellent Transport services outside of Camposol.

I am sure he will find it better in his new home that he said he purchased last year to downsize from Camposol.

Look around at the amazing towns and villages and what they have to offer, many have a large ex/pat community if that is what you are looking for.

I live on Camposol D and you need a car. On Sectors A and B you aere much closer to amenities but even so, carrying a weeks worth of groceries or even a six pack of water is asking a lot in the heat

Bus from A to the port is excellent, took us about 30 minutes or so and was very cheap. They do not run as frequently as you would expect in the UK but is that what you would honestly expect out in spain

Ideally you should drive but as you state you are both non drivers then public transport and/or cabs is probably what you will require to use. Good luck

You can also consider cycling, moped etc? for local travel

I still wouldn't fancy cycling far in the summer even without bags of shopping, but moped would be ok for very local transport
