I was worried there wouldn't be a bus running late in the evening so I booked a flight to Alicante. However, my husband has studied the bus timetable and buses do appear to tie in with flight times.

Pués... I used the airport bus to Los Narejos last week and it was unimpressive. Having watched the planes for years guided with Flightradar24 data, I do wonder who devised the service. The busiest day of the flight week is Friday (2 Roda buses). Tues/Thu are least busy but Tue gets 4 buses. My usual flight arrives 30 minutes before the morning bus, not really enough time to deplane, get through immigration without luggage and being fit enough to sprint to the edge of the airport. Every other airport I use puts the public transport adjacent to the terminal.
According to Murcia Today, Ryanair and AENA are not convinced by the location of RMU compared to MJV and I see no reason to disagree with them.

I'm not convinced by it either. If AENA hadn't signed a contract with Corvera, the airport would not have opened.
There is also talk of a bus service to run to Camposol in the near future..?
