I will be visiting Camposol for the month of Oct '17. I would be interested in purchasing a reliable run around car, if it has ITV that is a plus. It would be cash on receipt. If you have something that will be available in Oct please contact me so we can discuss.
Automatics are as rare as rocking horse ****. You certainly won't find a cheap one. I wanted a secondhand Peugeot Estate automatic and I had to go to my my main Peugeot dealer and order one. It took just over 6 months to arrive. If you find one make sure it has a valid ITV as you are not allowed to even drive it to the test station without one, you would need a truck to transport it. If you buy privately go to your local Gestoria with the seller to make the transaction as many people in Spain never pay their road tax or any fines. These debts acrue against the vehicle, you could find you owe several thousand euros which you would have to pay immediately.

Thanks for your interest Dodgement. I know auto's are of a premium. The last one I bought, I paid over the odds for. However I can live with a manual....... As I have been renting on Camposol for 10 years I am aware of the pitfalls that the Spanish system can throw up. After my Oct visit I will be back in Jan for a longer spell I would like to have a car purchased before that visit if possible.

At the end of this year I will be looking to change my car. Its a very low mileage Peugeot 508SW automatic, full service history and it still has 8 years to run on its Peugeot breakdown and recovery policy. I will be looking for about €14,500.00 if your interested.

Thanks for the offer, however it is a lot more than I want to pay. I just need a run around. I will be taking a 12 month multi trip parking contract at San Javier, so nothing too special I would anticipate the longest trip would be to the airport. If I do not find something that meets my criteria, I would be prepared to drive over.

If you just want a cheap run around you will probably have to buy privately. Look in milannuncios.com as they have lots of private ads. The only trouble with them is that they don't delete ads when the vehicle is sold so you can chase after one, bearing in mind that nearly all the advertisers are spanish, and then find it was sold a year ago. You could also try coches.net which has a good selection.
