my partner and I booked to arrive into Bilbao from Ireland on 1st april with car, trailer and 2 dogs. Plan to drive to Camposol to stay in our Villa for a few months. Just read that as its Easter, there are new travel restrictions in place. Trying to find out if we will have problems driving down- does anyone know about these restrictions and how they would affect a journey like this. Any advice appreciated.

Have you checked you will be allowed into Spain by then. I believe at the moment Spain is only allowing those who are nationals or hold residencia across the border.

my understanding is that we need to produce a negative covid test and complete a locator form for checking on arrival.

And have residencia paperwork. That is as it is at the moment. Some people seem to be getting through somehow but l know of 2 couples who were refused boarding at the airport in the UK.

Residencia etc. for UK only. As you are coming from Ireland which is in the EU then negative PCP test and locator form only. Shouldn't be any problems.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

thanks.  we are coming from Ireland and brittany ferries have accepted our booking and have not been advised so far to cancel the ferry. we booked in January and it is only last week I read about the new Easter restrictions. I am hoping that as we will have arrived into the port, they will not stop us travelling to our destination.

Coming from Ireland with an Irish passport, not with a UK passport. If you have a British passport you will need to show your green residencia document.
