There will be another day of mass vaccinations This time it is for those aged 70 to 79 inclusive. Wednesday 21st from 9am at the mazarron sports pavilion. You should receive a text if not please just turn up. They are expecting to vaccinate around 2000 people. This will be the pfizer vaccine. Take your id and health card.

Can anyone turn up at Mazzorn sport pavilion next week please.

I have my partner in that age group who hasn’t had a vaccine yet.

Thank you

Dani

This is for residents of mazarron. If you are on the health care system you would have been contacted. We have private health care and we registered for the jab online

Hi Sunnyspain - if you register on-line do you get a set appointment meaning you don't have to queue?  I had mine Xtra Zenica on Tuesday this week as I fell into the 56 to 60 category and queued for over an hour but, to be honest, the queue moved pretty quickly - the downside was that I was so ill yesterday with very sore arm and a headache I have never experienced. A lot better today, still slow and fuzzy, so I think I copped the 24 hour side effect.

I had the same side effects.

Not nice.

Best thing to do is take paracetamol for 24 hours.

They text the appointment. Whether we get seen at the allocated time is a different matter. Lots of people are getting side affects from AZ. My brother in law was really ill for nearly a week.

There was a mass vaccination thingy last Friday in San Javier for residents of San Javier, Los Alcázares and the surrounding towns. You need to keep an eye on the local press, town hall announcements etc. to see when the next one will be.

If you are on the system and your details are up to date there is no need to keep looking. They will telephone you or send an SMS with the day and time of your appointment.

We were called (me first then an hour later my OH) on the Wednesday, for appointments Friday.
