Using a UK registered in Spain

Six months on a British licence and it has to be leagle in the uk or it is not leagle here. if you r resident and have a Spanish licence you have 30 days.

Does this apply to any age of vehicle, as I’ve heard you can only register a U.K. car in Spain if it’s less than ten years old. Any help is appreciated .

No age limit as you can see by the number on "H" plates. It does get trickier if there is no European certificate of Conformity for that vehicle.

Thank you, for your prompt reply. Was getting a bit anxious as my campervan is 18 years old, but is in really good condition. Looking to be over there late summer, to buy a property apply for residency etc. So will get it 're registered and go through the proper procedure .

Do some more investigation before you come - there could be problems if the entry door is on the left, and you may have problems getting replacement headlamps at reasonable cost. Ask one of the specialists in rematriculation.

I think you will find the left hand door is a problem on anything with no type approval, type approval only started in 2001 you may get it on the 30 year historic reg but i will have to be 30 years, i have been asking itv at la hoya and trying to get a motor home reg over here if no coc and type approval it will have to have a full engineers test not cheep and no grantees it will go through, i tried it with an american rv which i took to them to look at first very difficult.
