Well, all the people I talk to are happy being in the EU. The EU has treated Spain very well, and of course they benefit from freedom of movement etc etc. No I cannot see them as being as criminally stupid as the UK. Time will tell of course, but no signs yet.

Criminally stupid as the UK? In what way?You keep going on about brexit which wasn't the original question that person asked. You go on about the trains the infrastructure roads etc in Spain being the envy of the world. The UK had all this years ago.Its only because their is too many people in the uk in a smaller area going from a to b that it's logistically harder.Try counting all the unnecessary road signs in Spain France Germany Holland just driving upto a roundabout? Such a waste of money.I could save billions of euros for Brussels in one go.Lets level it out abit here.My own opinion on Spain as an EU member ?is that now they have seen how a beaurocratic centralised cock up of the distribution of a vaccine has been shown amongst other things Spain and alot of the other countries will decentralise and try and do things in a more independent way.I think alot of countries in the loop will have a more looser union.

Whispers, whispers, oh those whispers...... There will always be those who have made a terrible mistake and are desperate to persuade others to do the same! There is more evidence though, that shows that the majority of other EU countries' politicians feel pity towards the UK for having shot them...

...selves in the foot, rather than wishing to follow them into obscurity! The UK is now trying so hard to justify its decision and is scrabbling about trying to sort out the chaos that it has created and has now started the blame game, blaming everyone else but itself! Spain has done very well out of being a member of the EU. Without the various grants that Spain has received, it would still be a relatively backward country with terrible roads and other communication systems. Instead we have wonderful roads and a rail system that the UK can only dream about having one day. The EU has allowed Spain to do this and more. Some of us were living here before Spain joined the EU and can personally remember how far it has come since then. I think that Spain knows which side its bread is buttered! With the greatest respect to those "ex-pats" who do, I would guess that the majority of those who insist on calling themselves "ex-pats" and not "immigrants", don't speak enough Spanish to understand the country's politics and don't watch Spanish TV and so are unlikely to have an educated opinion on the subject.

In your opinion Mags.  I would suggest that many would disagree with you.

WOW

Ok, my listing was nothing to do with brexit or the uk. it was just opinions on will spain stay in the EU forever ?

So don't understand why you've jumped on brexit obviously anti british [ even though you are British born & bread but live in spain ]

well my opinion is, spain will leave or maybe the eu will dissolve as they do have a habit of annoying or dictating countries along the line. i was in greece during the world wide crash & greece was crying out for help from the eu [ which they got ] but only after bending over backwards & being forced to agree a financial situation that will take decades to re pay.

thought the eu all bat for the same team, but obviously not on some occasions. spain have now borrowed a crazy amount of money from the eu bank, if the economy carries on struggling due to covid & the following recession. spain may need to ask for help, i wonder [ just like greece ]  what difficulties spain will face & then people like you will realise the eu aren't always on the same team ?

Well said

Absolutely but your response did not address the question asked, rather you turned it into a BREXIT thing for some reason.

Politicians feel pity, what a nonsense, most are jealous, just look at the abysmal roll out of the vaccine then trying to block uk access.

Absolutely

The EU delay in vaccinations, has probably sent a lot of people to their unnecessary death.

But some people on this post, think the EU is great  well where vaccination goes. The UK are embarrassing Europe & they know it.

That's why there trying to block our supply.

Clueless Idiots.....
