We chose to live by the sea at El Carmoli but a few weeks ago had a drive to Campasol to have a look round.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice and well kept it was, the streets were amazingly clean with lovely flower beds and well kept houses.

It's a bit too remote for us but as a place to live it seems fine with good motorway links to Mazzaron and the new airport.

Don't be put off by prejudice, Campasol is a decent place with some fantastic value houses to buy.

Andy

Hi Andy long time since we spoke.  How are you are you in the U.K. Or Carmoli?

We haven't been since last June. I really miss it.  We were booked to go on Sunday 19th April.  Well we're all in the same boat ..who knows when this nightmare will be over.  I hope alls well with you.  Stay safe and well.

Hi Jan

the Urbanisation was built in  4 lots:

Sector A (now called Los Palacios)

Sector B with all the shops and facilities

Sector C with the golf club and hotel

Sector D must have a car as it is 3 miles from the shops

Thank you.  I have seen references to the sectors but didn't know what they were.  We're in the process of buying in El Algar (on hold of course) and wondered what these sector letters meant.

Camposol  is a bit of an enigma wrapped in a mystery,  A sector residents live in palaces, B sector is noisy in summer because all the residents rent out there houses and clear off somewhere cooler.  C sector has a golf club and a newly re-opening hotel.  D sector is full of&n...

...bsp; quiet restrained people  whose houses seem to mysteriously get bigger and bigger, with swimming pools appearing almost overnight, along with extensions and other amendments.

The gardening groups have worked steadily to improve the surroundings of the roads and the phantom tarmac gang appears on a regular basis, fixes the potholes, and vanishes again. The fish and chip shop does a roaring trade and the local supermarket sell lactose free milk and gluten free bread along with most other requirements.  Coffee and wifi ? no problems in the local café/bars   After you have scoffed your cakes you can nip down the gym.  Thursday morning over to the market on A sector followed by more cakes and coffee.

Most of the houses have been standing for at least ten years and you can quickly identify any that have problems  as you can in the uk.  The original developers have finally gone totally and completely bankrupt.   All their stock of old houses have been disposed off at bargain prices and the general appearance of the place is improving, and the new airport at Corvera is only 30 minutes away.

What about the floods that happened once, 4 years ago?  The local, regional and national authorities had a circular meeting and all blamed everyone else.  Thankfully no one had guns. Perhaps the fact that the local water board opened the overflow dam gates on their reservoir had something to do with it.

What about the certificates of habitation which you have to have before you move in and connect up your water and electricity? Just didn't happen. You can't have a town of 5,00 houses full of people without final paperwork - can you?  Erm.. Afraid you can, It is all a bit of a mistery?

Not ALL residents rent out there houses and clear off somewhere cooler, I find your tone offensive....it's not noisy in the sector we live in B21....below the cultural centre. Get your facts correct before slaging people off.

Have a look here for a map that shows the Sectors of Camposol.

The R numbers are actually Sector A.........the sectors are split by the RM motorway.

Sector C.. Calle Jodar

This is funny as we have just moved here and have just noticed the villas in D!!!  You are right they have extensions popping up all over the place 😂🤣

What is wrong with inproving the villas in section D,it's just that I am thinking of buying there.

Hi.   We brought on A. But had to wait for elec and water so we rented thro Mazarron property.com.  Contact Carole very helpful.  We really like A   400 m to bars and basic shops.    600 m to sector B with everything there  Get out here asap.    Nick

We have been here a year now and love it.   It's a great place to live if you want the support of your neighbours and want a community spirit.   Great choice of houses and areas.

Hi, I purchased in D sector within two weeks of viewings. I personally did not want to do too much looking about as the more you see the difficult it is to pick one. As soon as I say a house that ticked most of my boxes I pounced. I'm 67 years old and I trust my judgement. I also believe if you looked around for a year or so you may not make the best choice and something will always appear later on that would possibly look a better deal. Best of luck on your choice.
