Flights and tours to Poland from Murcia or Alicante

Ryanair to daily flights to and from Krakov. There are no direct flights from Murcia to Krakov.

I dont see anything from Murcia but Ryanair fly direct from Alicante. All other airlines have a stopover.

Flights start as low as €80.

Tickets for Auschwitz must now be purchased direct from Auschwitz itself, as there were too many 3rd party sellers abusing the old system by not buying tickets and collecting you at 2am and driving you out to queue up for many hours in the hope of getting a ticket (not always available or if they are they are for the 4pm tour). (there are some good 3rd party sellers but why take the chance when it is so easy to organise yourself and cheaper)

From Krakow you can take a bus direct to the camp and back (flixbus) about 1.25hr each way, or you can take a train to Osweicim station (about 55min) and either taxi or walk (4km) to camp

A very good app for transport in Krakow is Jakdojade (covers city buses and trams and also trains) and the KOLEO app for trains (offers 25% discount for over 60's). City trams (and buses) are excellent, frequent and cover the whole city and a weekly unlimited pass that covers both only costs €16 (physical card from machine or use Jakdojade app on phone)

Tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau involve a lot of walking (maybe 10km).

Other areas of interest are Schindlers Factory and The Jewish Quarter and they have a great museum under the city square that traces the history of Krakow back 1500 years. All these can be accessed daily without booking or the need for 3rd party sellers

Flying out of Alicante usually gives more options, and Kraków tends to have the easiest connection for Auschwitz tours.
