Ryanair Leeds Bradford To Corvera Winter 2019
Just had emails from Ryanair cancelling all my flights from Leeds Bradford to Corvera this winter.
Looks as though they have pulled out of the winter flights altogether.
What a pain.........

Apparently the reason for the for cancellations ..is down to a company shake up .. Ryan air has also sacked around 60 pilots .. along with a number of cabin crew..at the moment these lay offs only affect Leeds & Bradford flights to Corvera that had been running at a lost even when they use to fly from San Javier they had been running at a lost ..some other destinations that will be affected will be disclosed in the near future ...it's called big business .. making an adjustment with a board room decision...I have used Ryan air a couple of times ...but prefer to book with Vueling it's a little bit more expensive but worth it .

Typical Ryanair, why on Earth do people book with them with all the history and on-going problems? Go with Jet2, by far the best budget airline I have found, well worth the trip to one of their departure airports.

Our normal flights were MJV (San Javier) / RMU (Corvera) to LBA (Leeds/Bradford).
6kms/40kms this end, 5 miles in UK.
Compare that to trekking across the Pennines to Manchester, then 75kms from Alicante - both awful airports - with all the additional costs and time, and it is clear why there was no competition to using Ryanair! Apart from their habit of slamming the Boeing into the tarmac on landing, and the common lack of items of food and drink on board they did their job well.
Not charging enough for seats on a very popular route is just commercial stupidity. Sure it is great to boast that you flew for only €9 but a realistic price that made them some money and actually flew (preferably more or less on time) is much better all round.

It's a case of you only get (or not in this case) what you pay for. I do compare their prices and I have always found them no cheaper by the time you add on for cabin baggage, seat etc., which appear to be compulsory if you want to take a normal cabin bag. The bad press they get is well justified. I used to use them a lot from Luton when the fare was about £2.99 plus tax, but passengers were treated like cattle then and it hadn't changed when I used them out of Murcia a couple of years ago. I dread to think what would happen in an emergency situation with the staff they have.

Not sure what's happening with flights from luton to corvera. They cancelled winter flights and no flights showing for summer either. Does anyone know when ryanair release summer flights to corvera? They have summer flights from luton showing for other destinations, but nothing yer to corvera.

There seem to be quite a few routes being cancelled by Ryanair - not just Corvera, they are short of planes as they have the 737 max on order ( think that’s the ones ) and these have been grounded at the moment
A freind of mine who was a senior safety person in the leading British carrier wil not fly with either Ryanair or Jet 2 on safety grounds.

Ryanair have no shortage of planes, current fleet around 450, plus they are the sole owners of Laudamotion acquired early this year. True they have 737 Max's on order but so have may other airlines. The problem with Ryanair is they expanded too much, too quickly. They treat their staff very badly, a lot of their pilots are self employed and only work for them to maintain their hours. Cabin staff have to do a multitude of jobs to keep the plane flying to a crazy schedule.
Their business plan seems to put the needs of passengers last! So long as people keep booking with them, thinking they're getting a cheap deal and prepared to be messed about, they'll survive I suppose....but for how long? Norwegian are hopefully now recognising that they expanded too quickly, and they also have a large back order of 737 Max's.
