Hello
Have a palm tree on our property, its getting tall and has the standard pod seeds appearing. I trim the fans when they go brown.
To stop the palm growing upwards what are my options, can I just cut the top off the tree to stop it growing any further.

Best way is to get advice from the garden centres regarding cutting. I wouldn't have thought taking the top out would be a good idea. When you cut off the leaves, don't forget to paint the wounds with Balsam to stop them bleeding and spray at least twice a year to stop the Palm Weavil. If they get in, your tree will die.
Mine seem to have suffered badly this year, but now look as though they are recovering a bit.
