I am hoping to move onto Camposol soon and have had an offer accepted on a property on D35. This week I was informed via my solicitor the property is NOT inscribed in the land register. The owner bought it off the developer 15 years ago but it was still registered in his name.

I was not particularly worried as I gather from posts on your forum that this is the case for a large number of properties on Camposol.  It has been suggested that the solicitors retain 8000 euro as they formalise the documentation, which could take up to two years. This seems acceptable to me but I would be grateful for any advice you may have … thanks in advance.  mervyn

You need to check further. Why did the previous owner not get some paperwork?  Do you still have embargoes on the property? Have you got an independent abogado? A lot more checking should be done.

Yes, I sort of agree with you, but Camposol has so much to offer.

any property without a Escatura on Camposol ,owned by Massa or its companies is now in the hands of The liquidator to sell at auction or by private treaty am I correct?

Positively criminal to sell a property I would suggest that has ,or is likely to be embargoed. Why would a solicitor that knows all  this ,want 8000eu upfront for the paperwork ???Ibelieve taking a solicitor to court (with all that entails ) is time limited also .Someone correct me on this sharp practice please !Absolutley disgraceful as ive previously posted Ive seen grown men cry losing there houses to the liquidator having not paid for a Escaturas for various reasons ,

A lot of heartache and misery around a purchase of a place on Camposol ,and sharing the information for others so they don't fall into the same trap is welcomed , and been given ,BUT I do wonder if the original post from Mervynn is Genuine !or a fake post ?
