Beware of FIREFLY CAR RENTAL

Hi who are the other company your going to use? I need a car in August but firefly are double the price of other companies (I know you get what you pay for) but they took €65 out of my account last month & i dont know why.

I am using Flamenca Car Hire in September. You pay a deposit, they've been recommended before on this forum - I'm giving them a go.

We use DoYouSpain.com - following recommendations on this forum - they're a broker, like Holiday Autos - and then we've used RecordGo who are competitively priced and (touch wood) we've had no problems.

I don't think RecordGo operate from Corvera though - we use Alicante.

As ever - avoid Goldcar & Interrent though.

If you didn't have private insurance for a holiday car rental in Spain...then they probably done you a favour by adding the extra insurance cover on ...as a minor bump can come to thousands of euros to get repaired ...if you do have a bump you have got to pay for the repair and the loss of money they would have made for the time the damage car is of the road and so on.

Yes i have private insurance & told them at the time but maybe they added it anyway
