Do the owners in the Camposol area pay IBI? If they do surely they are entitled to all the norms of a civilised town? Denounce the council to the Murcia or national government. I have read about these problems for years, and cannot understand why people have continued to go and live there.

I agree, for the last 5 years all I’ve heard is there’s money put aside for roads and lighting etc…guess what nothing materialises the council aren’t interested in Camposol it’s all broken promises…the bridge only got repaired cos it was just about ready to collapse otherwise nothing would’ve been done…in another 5 years it’ll be worse mark my words…..c and d sector may as well not exist as nothing is done over there…who’s pathetic idea was it to erect a 5 a side pitch ffs, what a waste of money….c sector the drive up past the golf course is a glorified tip, an eyesore, the driving range lol what a joke…Money should’ve been spent on sorting things like this out …. It is going downhill rapid

Sorry but you are living in cloud cuckoo land with your calculations. 2 police officers covering the 4 sectors of camposol 24 hours a day.   On push bikes I would presume? You haven't calculated for the cost of vehicles   even just the purchase price and on going maintenance&n...

...bsp;  let alone cover for the policeman who by EU LAW  can only work set hours. Then you have annual leave and sick leave.   You clearly have never run a viable business.

Once again, negativity, thats why nothing gets done, if your so clever, you sort it, stop trying to put those down who want to help.

Its a idea, we need ideas, not critics.

Sadly what and who ever comes up with a idea, some one puts them down, so thats why nothing important gets done, The critics just put the good people down when they come up with a idea, they have no good ideas themselves, but just ruin every thought of good residents

Come on please it’s not negativity it’s reality…I feel for the minority who want what’s best but when funds do become available it’s wasted …and you can’t disagree that c sector looks like a derelict bit of waste ground…it would be cheaper to get a bulldozer in and clear it all, it would look a lot more inviting for potential buyers

Agree, but imagine just 2000 residents pay 3 Euros a month, thats 6000 Euros a month, 2 police officers, and a small police station would not cost this, and we could have 24 hour patrols, a good deterant, and that brings zero tolerance.

But hey ho, no one interested.

Unfortunately, 2 police officers would not give you the 24hour patrols you refer to. They work 8 hours a day and have two days off a week, so if you take that into account, along with sickness, holidays, training, court appearances, etc, it would need a cohort of 5 or more likely 6 to meet your level of patrol, and that would be one person at any time, for the entire urbanisation. It is easy to throw ideas about but they need to be accurate and avoid unrealistic expectations.  Camposol accounts for about 10% of the voting population of Mazarron. As the rest of the municipality would expect the same level of support, that would mean a minimum of 60 officers, not taking into account that the town and port seems to attract many more incidents than Camposol. Best ask the mayor at the meeting how many police officers he has to play with. It is one of the few areas of council activity that he has direct control over.

Mate I genuinely feel for the decent people on Camposol, they don’t deserve to not be supported properly….the fly tipping is a massive problem and it’s done by scum who live amongst us..people know who they are but nothing is said or done it’s pathe

Well now we have nothing, no police, no patrols, nothing, so anything better than nothing is a start,

So hey ho, lets leave it, as nothing will work.

Agree, its sad, as the sooner it is cleared up by the gardens parties, it re appears, so residents know some one else will deal with it.

I think the best idea is just leave it, let it build up into a total state, and become a disgrace, then the local community will suffer with rats and muck.

Well, here is an idea for you. Why not create the municipality of Camposol. There are enough people that live here to do that. Then you would have independence from Mazarron and receive and spend iBI, have your own police force, decide how the money is spent, decide on what needs building and what services to have along with other benefits and responsibilities of being your own municipality.  El Pareton has a smaller population than Camposol and is a municipality.

I was not being negative about the post, just trying to be realistic as to what can be achieved. It is disingenuous to suggest that a spend of €6k a month would give 24/7 police patrols. It wouldn't.

Good luck

La Moncloa says in the laws laying down citizens’ rights

“Section 17

1. Every person has the right to freedom and security.”

Denounce whoever is supposed to uphold the laws and make them do their job.
