Email received from Tom Finnegan Re January 10th 2020 Meeting.
CAMPOSOL RESIDENTS ANTI-ENTITY PROGRAM
We can today confirm that the Anti Entity meeting will take place on Friday the 10th January at Marianos restaurant at 4pm
We have not yet received the courtesy of a reply from the Mayor in response to our invitation to attend. We also intend to invite the chairman of the CRA and Mrs Buxton to attend, they represent a caucus of Camposol residents and I am sure all attending would like to hear what they have to say.
We will be asking the Mayor to undertake a number of strategies.
1. To confirm that no entities (or entities under any other name) will be established lawfully on Camposol until all infrastructure works are complete.
2. Prepare a Council plan showing how the defects of Camposol are to be tackled
If the Mayor does not attend the meeting we propose that the British, Dutch and Belgium ambassadors be approached to support an approach from a delegation of Camposol residents to Spanish Central Government in order to enlist the Central Government’s aid in obtaining sufficient funds to complete the ailing infrastructure of Camposol.
The problem in Camposol has not been created by the National Government; it has been created by a succession of incompetent and dysfunctional Mazarron Councils. However, the condition of Camposol shames Spain and I believe that the Central Government would wish to see that stain removed from their reputation.
We all appreciate that the establishment of an Urbanization wide entity is entirely in our interest when the Urbanization is brought up to standard.
We believe that we could create in Camposol, a residents managed entity which will be far better managed than is Mazarron. But this cannot happen until all works are brought up to date.
The costs to restore Camposol to a satisfactory condition are likely to be in the area of ten million euros.
At the meeting on Friday the 10th January, we will be making provision for people who are incapacitated in any way by the provision of reserved seats. We will at a later date ask such people to email us to request a reservation and such applications will be supplied with a reservation number to be produced at the door. These seats are designed to assist people who would have difficulty in standing for the duration of the meeting
Because of the likely attendance the rest of us will need to remain standing.
