Bang on, fully agree, it will now be for the residents to sort out all the problems. I am sure we can pool the skills and put things right for all of us.

If it does come to it, us Brits can sort anything, we must have a multitude of skills amongst us, and can help each other, lets see.

Have no doubt, the council will get their money one way or another, holiday homes or not.

The Fin De Obras is an attempt by the Council (more specifically, I think, the Mayor) to duck the Council's long outstanding responsibilities for the completion of Camposol and the provision of basic maintenance service.

Since Camposol is patently NOT finished, it would seem that the issuing of the Fin De Obras may be illegal.

Tom Finnegan is suggesting that we should, 'en masse' demand that the Fin De Obras be withdrawn.

I think he is right and we should support the effort.

Fully agree, the council wants nothing to do with Camposol, and it will be down to the residents to pay and sort the problems out.

Wether you pay your IBI or not, it makes no difference, you will not get the services if the council state you are on private roads, and they issue the notice.

There are many problems, so its going to be difficult, but the residents must stick together and fight this.

However, if the only support forthcoming is the same as the amount who turned out to vote, its all over, and the council have won.

It needs numbers to motivate themselves.

PeterC, It will not be fine when an owner is faced with massive bill. I believe that to live a comfortable life abroad, one should abide by the law of the country.

I am sure that most of us want to continue to enjoy the Spanish way of life in our own way without the fear of breaking the law.

We, on this forum, are here to help each other by way of advice and giving out information as and when it's required.  However, some of us are hell bent breaking the law. The choice is yours to make. We have made ours and will continue to search for knowledge to increase our wellbeing in Spain.

Hello,

The Mayor ruled a few weeks ago that UNTIL Camposol is bought up to
standard, NOTHING will be enforced. The Council do not have the funds to
bring it up to standard and the council are the ones that kicked Masa off
Camposol and took over .... it is a big can of worms! Just got this from my solicitor in mazarron,

What about Sector A, are they going ignore the standard on this sector, though it's the oldest of all the Sectors?

Hi Everyone, I live on Sector A, - and we are all in the same situation as B C and D with regards to having an Entity forced upon us .Only the main periphery roads and lighting will now be maintained by the Council, all the rest will have to be paid for from the Community of Owners funds which we are now expected to set up. This is in addition to IBI which we are all paying, and I presume will be used by the Council to pay for the upkeep  of the said main roads, It will be the only benefit we receive from them. All the street lights are out on my street, and all the home owners response is to put on their outside lights all night for security.  Nobody wants to pay any extra taxes or be the street President with all the hassle it entails.  What people need to do is to support the CRA and fight this imposition through the courts with them. We were all conned when we bought houses here, and unknowingly accepted terms to our detriment. A protest march on the Mazzarron Town Hall is called for - it wouldn't be the first time.!

Just let us know when the protest march is scheduled for, we will be there to lend our support, provided we are in Spain to join the match.

This is outrageous, and we can't just take it sitting on our backside doing nothing about it. This is a rip off by the Town Hall and shouldn't be allowed.
