Hi was wondering if anybody has any recommendations on where to stay on the way down to camposol from Santander I know it is possible to do the drive in a day but because of the time the ferry docks this isn’t something I want to do ....

Looking for recommendations not being told I can’t do this and that or the other thanks

Hotel Tudanca - Aranda II. We stayed there in September, both ways. It's only 3 hours or so from Santander and right off the motorway (although you cannot hear it)Rooms look out on the vineyard, wine is fantastic as well!!

Their reception is bi-lingual, so you could check out their website and either ring them or email? Their website says "Hotel Tudanca-Aranda II accepts pets, under conditions.
CONDITIONS: a maximum of two pets per room, without cost. The access of the pets to the common areas of the hotel is not allowed"

We always stay in Toledo - both ways.

It’s a lovely historic town with loads to see and a lot of really nice restaurants ( present situation aside ).

Hotel Cigarral el Bosque is fantastic. Just outside the old city.

Good luck & enjoy the journey.

Could be that the OP is travelling before November 23rd when the new rules come into force.

True, I am more interested in knowing how people on the ferries are going to comply with this rule. Some friends are/were coming over in December. So it would be great to know. I sort of hoped the ferries would organise testing, even if they charged £200.

Hi there,

We always stop overnight in Zaragoza, two lovely hotels. Plaza Feria (for over ten years) which is near the shopping mall and Fernando Rey, which is further away. Both very reasonable and love them both.

They are just outside Zaragoza and very easy to get to from the motorway.

On our return journeys, we also stay overnight just outside Santander at the Los Angeles Hotel in Boo Guarnizo, very Spanish and incredibly easy to get to the ferry.

Good luck
