Sorry I agree  with rma Costa del sol has nothing to do with camposol or the immediate region. Murcia was one of the hardest places hit by as you call it "The so called Gota Fria" I hope your other property in the gated community is safe. But of course they would have opened the gates to let...

... the water out

Who cares what you think...and what gates are you referring to I am at a lost hear.. as you no nothing  about me or my other property ..as it would be of no consern of yours...so crack on.

FF you made a point that you had bought a property in a gated community away from Camposol? To downsize from your property. So that's the gates I am referring to. Or maybe they did not suffer from the Gota Fria??

I think your attempt at trying to be funny is pathetic buy never the less ....Next time I see the gates..I will make a point in asking them if they are ok...and I will get back to you with the answer..if you are piss board with your life why not volunteer and help with the clean up and damage the Gota Fria brought with it.

Re Spanish Gota Frias - I have lived in this region for the past 16 years and have experienced this extreme weather event every one of those years!  I have a Fortuna on "A" with an underbuild  When the rain comes it floods to a varying depth and has to be pumped out by me. Don't expect any help from the Bomberos as they  are far too busy with others less able-bodied.  This is an unavoidable event because Masa did not make the front sufficiently watertight.. I have spent a lot of money trying to remedy it but to no avail, it still comes in. I know of quite a few neighbours with the same problem. Make sure there's nothing on the floor such as rugs etc. and it will be alright as long as you are there when it happens. - Usually in the middle of the night when you are sleeping! - Make sure you are fully insured and you     will be able to claim for any damage suffered as there is a Government fund to cover it.

Frequent flyer...... I would like to correct you, Costa Blanca was hit massively with flooding, 6 people died, god knows bow many animals.  Whole towns are completely flooded, roads have literally been washed away. I won't go on but you get the gist eh.

Wonder how sector D coped seeing as the roads are already buggered, lampposts at 25 - 45 degree angles, houses with massive cracks and a lot of movement, which they had before the storms ?

FF I was out at 8.30 on Saturday morning in the flood water assisting removing floating objects

Yesterday I was at the beach assisting the many volunteers from organisations such as the scouts and local co'operative farmers clearing the roads of stones and rubbish that had washed down and headed towards the sea.

Where were you assisting?

I presume the golf club was open for your Sunday lunch.

Good man for lending a hand ..no I wasn't in a position to lend a hand myself as I am currently in the UK working and paying Tax ..I only came back from Spain 3 days ago ..was I lucky or what...so maybe you should ask someone else if the golf club was open for business...crack on.

Please please no nasty talk, I only asked if camposol was flooded as awaiting to take possession of a villa in sector D. I have got my answer and so pleased that you were all safe and sound, only other questions are I will need a good insurance company in case I might need in the future, and also a car insurance company as will be buying a car to use while there and leave while back in Uk,

FF again making many assumptions,

I had 48 years of paid tax and insurance in the UK,before drawing my pension, In 1985 I was paying just over £2000 a month in contributions. , so I believe I am entitled to receive this.

So you paying tax witch is a legal requirement are not paying for my pension.

Unlike many people that receive benefits and have not worked a day in there life.

Why do people get so nasty and personal. The guy only asked a question, as he was concerned for his house and everybody elses welfare.

Everyone should stick together in times of difficulty, not get into a slanging match.
