We have been told that there will be no problem with food supplies. So why are all the meat fridges empty and that’s not all?  We have tried to be sensible and this is the first time one of us has been shopping for a week. I thought the situation would have calmed down by now. So either we have been misled about the supply situation or too many people are still being allowed to behave like a swarm of locusts with absolutely no regard for anyone else.

We are in the same situation in my part of the UK.

We go shopping once a fortnight.

So we go a couple of days ago & among the things we usually buy are toilet rolls.

No toilet rolls, so what do we have to do, yes that's right we have to go back & back & back & back until we can buy some.

So instead of one visit to the supermarket we have to make 3 / 4 / or 5 trips !!!

And the government want us to reduce our social contact !!

WELL GET SOME BL**DY TOILET ROLLS IN THE BL**DY SUPERMARKETS.

Could  always try dock leaves or as dogs do, scoot across the floor!!! On a serious note - it is ridiculous how selfish people can be. I'm possibly lucky as I'd ordered mine via Amazon prior to this madness. One day we'll meet up in Camposol, in the mean time stay safe.

What is this fascination with collecting loo rolls? If this were a pandemic of dysentery or Norovirus it would at least have some logic to it. Of all the symptoms given for Covid-19 I have not seen diarrhoea or persistant pooing mentioned. Therefore stocking up on thousands of loo rolls is not just selfish but remarkably stupid.

No idea but in my area there are NO toilet rolls available anywhere.

We go shopping once a week, last week because of holiday my OH went Friday. He set off and got into supermarket early, yes it was busy but all shelves stocked and he got everything we wanted. All I can suggest is alter your time.

Idea!  we could start collecting newspapers, cut them into 6in squares, put a hole through the corners and thread with string, hang on a nail in your toilet. Bet this has never been done before😂

I don't know where you are but Consum in Camposol is fantastic - yes some shelves a little sparse, yes you may have to queue outside to get in as they are taking this seriously and have marked all floors inside and out so that people keep their distance - they let only 40 persons in to beging with then as one comes out they let one person in. The meat counters have plenty. I go most days and try to help others out - I do not stockpile. If you leave going shopping much later towards the end of their opening hours then it is not surprising that by then most shelves are pretty empty. Take care all and stay safe. At least the heavy rain has stopped and hey presto the sun is out.
